Cody had the same reaction as Kyle. Except minus the screaming. "Hello there, little one! Are you scared? No need to be scared, little one!" He crouched down and put his hand out, bracing himsf for possible lacertations. ((SP?))

Before Cody could either form a durable bond with or be scratched to pieces by the cat, Brittany swooped down and grabbed the little beastie by the scruff of it's neck. "You're a feisty one, aren't you?" she asked it with a quizzical tilt to the head. "Men," she called to her crew, "We've found something."
((*cue heroic music*))

The cat instinctively curled into what was best described as fetal position when Brittany lifted him. It was what all kittens did when their mother picked them up in the same way. He found it difficult to hiss in this new position, though it may have been possible if he weren't wearing a collar. He glared at Brittany.

Kalea moved closer and finally saw that it was just a cat. She took her hand off the DS case. She never saw a cat jump out in front of people, so she figured that maybe its owner was in the group. She motioned to the whole group and asked, "'Ey, does this cat belong to any of you bros?"

"Never seen it before." Seth stared at the creature, secretly curious. What would a cat be doing out here? And what sort of cat would leap out in front of people? Like you would know anyway. "It has a collar." he observed, "So it definitely belongs to someone."

"Who it belonged to before is of no concequence. We are pirates, and we give nothing back!" Brittany hefted the cat and, upon a moment's reflection, asked her crew: "Do any of you have a bag or something that we could carry it in?"

Cody raised his hand. "I have a jacket!" He stood up, shrugged it off, bent down again enough to scoop up the cat and... scooped up the cat in his jacket and out of Brittany's grasp. "I'll carry it!" he volunteered. "I won't have any problems keeping it in line."

I would like to mention that powerplaying of Hippo and Pedro is allowed to a certain extent. Since they're NPCs and all.))
"Dark." Kyle commented, "It's dark." And cold. It wasn't that he didn't like the dark; it was actually a lot more comfortable for his photo-sensitive eyes. It was just sort of gloomy. Not so cheerful. Plus, he was getting really hungry. And cold. "We found something. Can we go back now?" Kyle asked, rubbing his bare arms to warm them up.

Samantha notice some people and walked over seeing one of them was Kyle "Oh...hi Kyle." she felt bad for some reason like she did something but she didn't she crossed her arms "Wow it's really cold out here."

Kalea was surprised when the girl came out of nowhere. She raised her eyebrows at Kyle and Samantha, and grinned. Of course, Kalea assumed that she was his girlfriend (((LOL I would too))), and ignored them. She took out her water bottle out of her DS case and took a sip.

Seth raised his brow at the girl and Kyle. He wasn't sure he approved, but it wasn't as if someone had asked him. And giving advice where it wasn't wanted just wasn't cricket. He shot a quick glance at Kal, and then looked forward. "I agree with Kyle. We should be getting back."
