DAY 2-[[Exploring]]

[Seth Heidrick]

Seth stepped carefully through the trees and bushes and shrubs and various other nature-things. He made a face at the damp soil of the floor. How did he end up leading this expedition? He didn't like the outdoors and he didn't like exploring. He stopped and turned to see if anyone had actually followed him or if he was had failed at his own 'mutiny'.

[Kalea Baker]

But of course, Kalea was faster. She already caught up to him a while ago and was trying her best not to make any sound. She was the 4th fastest girl in her class after all. "Hey, ya know, I'm right here next to you." She laughed. "Did you notice?"

[Seth Heidrick]

Seth nearly screamed when he turned to find Kalea quite close to him. Luckily, he only gasped. He hadn't heard her at all. "N-no..." He covered his heart with his hand. It was beating so fast. "God, you're like a fox or something!" He wasn't sure if that was good or bad.

[Kalea Baker]

"A fox That's the first time anybody's told me that." Kalea laughed. She had never seen a fox in real life before, so she could only guess the animal's characteristics. "People usually compare me to an oversized mouse of some kind." She shrugged. "Or sometimes a squirrel or a dolphin. I dunno."

[Seth Heidrick]

"A dolphin?" Seth questioned. That was just stupid. "I suppose a mouse would be adaquit as well, but you expect those to me wandering around. You never expect to see a fox." He continued down the path, although it didn't look like the rest of the crew was joining his 'mutiny.' But, really, what did it matter.

[Kalea Baker]

"Yeah... Not sure about the dolphin thing either." Kalea shrugged. "I've never met a live fox. I didn't see any wild foxes in 'Lulu, LA, San-Fran, Seattle or Tokyo. So I guess I'd never expect to see them." She looked around. "Do you think there are any foxes in this forest?"

[Seth Heidrick]

Seth looked around too. He had no idea. "I would guess so, but I don't know if there are even foxes in New York." Seth shrugged. "Either way, you're unlikely to find one. They're... quiet. Sneaky." He said the last two words looking at Kal.

"Really? I always imagined foxes to act and look like puppies..." Kalea said in a small voice. She was thinking of the fox from Disney's version of the Fox and the Hound. She stepped over a small plant. She liked the outdoors, but she wasn't too much of a fan of... this kind of outdoors. Like camping in the wilderness. "I hope I don't find any bug bites on me when I get back to the courtyard", she said with a small smile.

Seth hadn't even thought about the bugs. Ugh. Best to distract his mind from those pests. "What is it you're here for, anyways? In this place." He motioned back to the courtyard and the rest of the center.

[Kalea Baker]

"Huh? Oh right..." She looked back at the general direction of the buildings in the Remmington Center. "I guess, only people with problems would come to a suspicious place with free lodging and food huh. It's almost like a high-end homeless shelter or foster home or something... Right, back to your question. To make a long story short, I didn't want to move from Los Angeles, so I came to New York." She should have said "to make a long story too short." Kalea knew it made no sense whatsoever, but she quickly changed the topic. "Okay dude, so... what about you? No offense, but you don't look like the type of person who'd need free food and a place to stay. Besides, you handshake a lot better than the average teenager."

[Seth Heidrick]

Seth laughed at the handshake comment. Yes, he was capable of laughter. "I didn't know where else to go." he explained, "My father sent me out to 'prove myself', but I'm not ready to live by myself." He sighed. "One of the set backs of having a well off family is that it teaches you nothing about survival... So, this seemed like a good place to clear my head and formulate a plan."

[Brittany Angel]

Brittany came up behind the two mutineers, pulled them about by the shoulders and slapped them both across the face. "Don't you dare go on without me! Now, I have told the others that you are 'scouts', and if you go along with it I'm sure you'll be forgiven." She patted the cheeks she had slapped in a consoling manner, hoping to appear kinder in the eyes of her crew. "Now let's go on."

[Kalea Baker]

"Interesting... well, good luck with that", she replied to Seth.
After getting slapped, Kalea nearly cried, but she supressed her tears. "Oh... okay" she said to Brittany.

[Kyle Davis]

Kyle finally caught up to the group, just missing the slaps. He stopped and put his hands on his knees, panting heavily. "Hey guys." he managed between breaths, "S'up?"

((Jacqui. You're wrong. My French teacher did a perfect English accent today. You see, you are just sub-par.

But seriously, the whole class laughed! XD))
