Kal skateboarded into the courtyard at moderate speed. ((is that a word? skateboarded? whutever.)) There was that witch girl, the boy that the maid girl seemed to be interested in, and the British boy from earlier. Kal wondered if maybe what she said back at the reception area was mean. Maybe Seth was really raised without going to school or playing with neighborhood children. Homeschool, maybe? Kalea considered apologizing to Seth, but seeing that he was talking with the witch girl, she decided that she could do so later. She rode past by them.
...Then Kal came back, stopped, and thought again. She rode away again to go to the library. She made a U-turn and came back, realizing that what she was doing was really weird and unnatural. It would be even weirder to leave, again, so Kalea stayed there. She stepped on the edge of her board to make it jump up vertically, and held it there.
"Hey, I umm... hope that I'm not interrupting anything..." 'Shit. I completely forgot that they were having a conversation.', she thought. "...errrm... sa-sorry about earlier. I was really tired from the trip from home to here, cuz I was running most of the way, cuz I was angry at... I mean, I wen go, I mean, and so I was really drowsy and I wasn't really thinking about what I was saying..." She stopped. "I'm sorry." Kalea blushed and looked at her shoes as if they were interesting.

Seth couldn't for the life of him figure our what the skateboard-boy was appologizing for. Earlier? Well he had acted up earlier in the Reception Area, but no more than any average teenager. And really, shouldn't he then appologize to the receptionist or something? All the same, he felt it prudent to accept the appology. The boy seemed rather embarrassed anyways. "It's fine." Seth assured, "... I don't believe I know your name." Or else I forgot, which is probable as well.

Kalea looked at the British boy. He didn't seem to be troubled. She let out a sigh of relief and smiled. "People call me Kal. Short for Kalea Baker. Nice to meet you." She put out her right hand for a handshake. Handshakes are fun. "And you are...?"

Kalea. Sounds like a girl's name. Seth took the extended hand, "Seth. Seth Heidrick. Nice to meet you too." He looked Kal over; with the name he was begining to wonder whether this was a boy. "So... I see you skateboard."

Kal liked handshakes, and so she smiled. "Seth, eh? Cool name." Kalea nodded. "Yeah, I skate. My e... a friend of mine taught me how to. I started skateboarding partially as a stress relief from school and family and stuff." She gestured toward the girl with a witch hat. "So, who's your, err... witch... friend?"
