Brittany pulled out the old fashioned green leather-bound volume with a triumphant crow. "Yes! Belasis!" It looked like an encyclopedia, but the letters on the spine read Instructions. She rubbed the binding with her thumb affectionately and turned to the librarian. "Thomas, right? Mind if I call you Tom?" Without waiting for an answer, she plowed ahead. "You just write my name down, right? Then I'm Brittany Angel, and I am checking out Belasis' Instructions." Suddenly she remembered something she had heard from the conversation between Tom and the butler. "Is his name really... Jacques?"
((As far as I know, this book only exists in the world of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.))

"Alright." Thomas took a pad of lined paper out of his bags and wrote done all the people who had taken books. He looked rather surprised by the question. "I... believe so... Why?" A mystery! How exciting!

Brittany scowled. "Oh, no reason. Just... Never did get on well with the French." She forced a smile onto her face. "Thanks, Tom. I'll be going, then?"

"Oh, right. I believe he's German too, actually." though Tom couldn't quite remember where he'd heard that. "Yes. I will see you around then? Enjoy your book."

"Yeah, thanks. See you around." Swirling her cloak out dramtically, she made her exit.

Thomas watched the girl leave. Was she really a witch? That would be awesome. He liked this place. He liked it a lot. Tom began once again sorting books with a smile of complete content on his face.
((I love writing for Tom XD))

Jacques wondered who was sending Harry Potter all the mysterious letters. He had seen the movie, but the only thing he could remember was that there was a mirror that showed you what you truly desired, or something. He couldn't remember the name. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Thomas was beginning to find all this book sorting rather troublesome. He could read more of Breaking Dawn, but... the butler was still here. As was little Momo, who he was less embarrassed about. He went over to where Jacques was reading and looked over his shoulder, "Like it?"

Jacques jumped. He had been reading ravenously, and had kind of zoned out when Thomas asked him whether he liked the book. "Oh, oui, it's fun to read. I like Harry already."
((He's like a bloody first grader.))
