"Nice to meet you." Jacques shrugged. "To be honest, I don't read much. I usually just watch the movies when they come out on DVD." Perhaps that wasn't the best thing to say to a librarian. He added hastily: "But you can reccommend anything- I should read more." It would be best to stay on Thomas' good side: he was treading a fine line of misbehavior already.
((What a lazy bum.))

Thomas never understood people that didn't read, but he knew from experience that forcing them only made them like it less. "Perhaps you should read one of the books that you liked the movie of. What's your favorite movie?"

((Shoot. Now I have to think of one.))
Jacques looked up, tapping his chin. "Hmm... Oh, I really liked The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe. You know, the one with..." He trailed off, realizing for the first time that he was being rather girlish about this. He tried to save his attempt at a first impression. "Yeah, I remember liking... that witch. She was, um... eher kühl. Cool, right?" Now that he tried to remember anything about that movie; all he could remember was that there had been a talking lion. And saying how much you liked the talking lion was just stupid.
((Hahahaha, stupid Jacqui. Narnia is for kids. Mel finally got around to seeing what kind of tea we're havvin, BTW.))

"Ah, yes." Thomas perked up, if that was even possible with how perky he had been in the first place. "I would recomend reading that series, then. And if it's the fantasy world that intrests you, I also recomend Harry Potter and anything by Tolkien, even the ones his son published."

((I actually bought the Unfinished Tales yesterday... go me! *is dead*))
"Harry Potter, huh?" Jacques looked meditatively to one side. He had liked those movies. "Sure, why not? Just... um... how do I check out a book here?" He looked back at Thomas, going slightly red. "Sorry, I should know these things, but... you know. Been busy." He smiled apologetically.
((Oh Gott. Jacqui keeps giving me headcanon fodder... *is still dead*))

((Head cannon? I can has?))
Thomas laughed nervously, moving to a stack of books that looked like it contained mostly teen fiction books. "I'm not too sure myself, actually. I just got here about an hour ago. I've just been writing it down. I'll transfer it once I learn the system." He pulled out the first Harry Potter book and held it out to Jacques.

((It has to do with the Harry Potter movies~~~!))
Jacques took the book. "The Sorceror's Stone?" he read. "Sounds interesting. Thanks." He looked up and smiled. "Actually, I'll start it right now; does that sound good?"

"That sounds most excellent." Thomas said with a closed-eyed, anime style grin.

((*hugs my nerd soul mate*))
"Great!" Jacques smiled back (in slight confusion as to why this man was so... cheerful) and went to sit down on the couch he had sat at before. He flipped open the book to the first page. "Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive..." Jacques had a very one-track mind, and pretty soon he was engrossed in the book.
((Yes. I mean what I say and I say what I mean.))

((I agree. What does that have to do with anyone here? XD
And an elephant's faithful, 100%?
Also, you should see Tom after reading a depressing book, like Night. He is not so cheerful then. It could be a party and he'd just sit in the corner sulking for all those poor people.))

Thomas looked through the stack of books and found the place he had left off at. He shot a nervous glance at where he had left Breaking Dawn and then continued sorting the books.
((Poor Thomas))

((Guess what? I'm drawing amazing pics of all the people here. I've only finished Riv so far. Each pic will also have an awesome quote that they actually said. Any preference which one I use for anyone? Even characters that are not your own. Because there are some that I have no idea what to put.))
