Thomas smiled at April and pushed his glasses up. This snooty other girl seemed to have lost interest in whatever it is she wanted. "Yes. I just put it away, in fact." He searched through the shelves he had just organized. "Aha!" he exclaimed as he found it, "You said you've read it before? That's great! So, did you like it? Pssh, obviously. Do you read a lot?" He haded her the book.

If Thomas were a character in an anime, the screen would have gotten bright and there would be stars flying around and roses in the corners. But, since Tom was not an anime character, he just smiled and laughed somewhat shyly. "That's great. Me too." He didn't get the play analogy, but did that really matter?!

Alice had indeed lost interest with the geeky librarian, but when his fellow geek came over and they started... well, flirting was really the only word for it, her interest was rekindled and she edged back over to pay attention to the proceedings of nerd love.

"April. That's a nice name." Thomas said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. Was that what you were supposed to say? Didn't people usually say that in books? But they were books... Did people say that in colloquiel speach? He really needed to try this socializing thing more often.

Thomas stared at the ground and let his thoughts wander. Somehow, they landed on the time. He looked up at April suddenly. "Uh, I have to go to a meeting." he checked his watch to make sure, "Yeah... So, I'll see you tomorrow, then? Oh, and you can take the book, if you want. I've been writing done who checks what out in a notebook for now." He smiled and waved at her as he left the library.
