Daniel crept along the trail. It was rather overgrown and he kept having to push branched out of the way. He wondered with some amusement how well Jacques would fair; maybe he had ran away in fright already. And of course the feeling was not going away. He stopped and turned around, "Having fun?"

Jacques, who had stayed very silent (mostly to avoid screaming and/or yelling), answered in a voice that sounded like it belonged to an adolecent boy. "Yes, I'm fine, sir." He stepped over a wayward branch gingerly, making sure there were no insects on his shoe when it scraped it slightly. "Um, if you don't mind me asking, sir," he said, this time in a much steadier voice. Much, in this case, meaning "a fraction". "Have you ever actually been here before?" Turn back turn back TURN BACK! He didn't, of course. Figures.

Daniel mentally laughed at what a rough time the other was having; on the outside he mearly grinned. He looked around for anything that might look remotely familiar, then answered Jacques, "Nope. Never. I haven't been here that long, though." He wondered if it was possible to get to the lake from here. Jacques might actually enjoy that. He kept moving, but more slowly this time.

"Okay..." Jacques muttered, not exactly reassured by Daniel's statement. He followed up his previous question with: "Do you know where we're going?" and nearly tripped over a rock as he tried to slow his pace to match his boss's. ((How do you puncuate that correctly?!))

Daniel instinstivly put his arm out as Jacques stumbled on a rock; just in case he hadn't been able to get his footing back and fell. The feeling got worse then for some reason. "Be carefull." he warned, then answered Jacques's question, "Not really. I know places we could go. Don't know how to get there. But that's the point; sometimes you need to get lost." ((*pokes remm* awwww))

"Really?" Jacques frowned. "I've never..." He trailed off; he had forgotten what he was going to say. "I don't know. I don't usually try to get lost. It could be dangerous." It was dangerous. He knew that full well. Hadn't he told himself- and his Mutti- that he would never try to get lost again. Wait. Why was he turning this into a metaphor?
((Lol, yes. *pokes Jacqui too*))

"Maybe." Daniel didn't particularly care if it was dangerous. The way he saw it, what would happen would happen. Why waste your energy trying to control that? "There's a lake somewhere around here." he said after a moment of silence, "So, keep an eye out. I think you'll like it, at least more than these trees." And the feeling got worse. Wonderfull. Maybe he should take some sort of medication. Jacques had said he was addicted to something or another, right. What the heck? I can't steal drugs from my employees...
((He's having thought trains again)) ((Remm: *shoots both of us* Me: Hey, what happened to no killing?! Remm: There's an exception to every rule. *shoots again*))

"A lake?" Jacques asked, startled that the Remmington Center would have something like that on the grounds. "Really?" He stopped paying attention to the "path" for a second and stumbled again.
((Out of stuffs to do. *dies as a result of a myserious shot*))

"Yeah, it's closest to the cafeteria." This time when Jacques tripped, Daniel grabbed his sholder to steady him. The closer proximity made that 'feeling' grow into something recognizable. Oh. my. god. No. His cheeks tinted pink and all he said was, "What did I tell you about being carefull?" ((Daquiri and I'm not even bothering to hide it from your siblings! > ))

((OMG BE CAERFULLS! *coughs* (Not that I wasn't- HEY, THAT'S ENOUGH O' YER SHENANIGANS! Why do I keep lasping into lolcat? I forgives you for teh picture. *w*)) Jacques looked at his feet, ashamed of his clumsiness. "I'm sorry, sir. I'll be more catious with my footing next... next time?" He had looked up into Herr Remmington's face, cringing, to find, once again to his utter surprise, a blush spreading across his visage. He found himself going a corresponding shade of crimson. "Um... Daniel?" The decision to call his Daniel was a difficult one that only took a few seconds to make. "Are you okay?" ((Oh dear Gott this guy is a little clueless- and that is strange considering... *past* (omg teh revenge!)))

((Oh my god, time for the soup plantation joke.))
"I uhh... I'm fine." Daniel diverted his eyes to the ground. He couldn't remember the last time he acted like this. High school?

"No, you don't look so good. Maybe we should go back or something." Daniel looked flustered, and Jacques couldn't think of any reason for this other than he was coming down with something. He peered down into his face, butler's instinct overcoming his discomfort.
((You really want? *le smirk*))

"No, I'm fine. Really." There's gotta be some way to counter act this. Well, really, there were only two ways. Leave or-- Before he had even finished the thought, Daniel rolled his eyes at how rediculous this was, grabbed the butler's arm and pulled him into the bushes.
((Time to have a little talk. Via the PMs.))
