Jacques wondered what was so dashed interesting about his past in Europe. "Germany, then France." Why does life always mirror itself?
((OMGOTT.))

"Cool." Aiesha commented, still grinning, though not quite as bouncy. She sat next to him and looked over his shoulder at the book he was reading. "Harry Potter, huh? I used to read those, but I haven't read any of the new ones." He paused and looked over the page, then moved ever so slightly out of Jacques's personal bubble. She held out her hand. "My name's Aiesha, by the way. Aiesha Lawrence!"
((*stares at remm some more* you people and your lack of respect for people's space. Remm: *glares*
Oh, is highschool coming back to you Jacqui? Is it? ;D))

((Me? What? Ha! Ha ha ha! I was laughing. Derisively.))
"Um, hi. Jacques duPan." He took the offered hand and shook it, slightly feebly, a bit put off by Aiesha's friendliness. "Nice to meet you."

"Yeah, nice to meet you too!" She took back her hand and placed both in her lap. She looked around the room at all the books and the few people. She thought the little girl was absolutely adorable. After about a minute she tired of the and turned her attentions back to Jacques. "Sooo, what's yer story." she shrugged, "I mean, what're ya doin' here?"

Jacques coughed, then said: "I... was in need of employment and the oppurtunity presented itself."

"Oh, you work here? Me too! I'm a maid; that's why I wanted to talk to Bonnie." Aiesha exclaimed. "Well, that's great! What's yer job?"

She's a maid? "Butler. I'm sort of in charge of you two, I guess. But I'm not your boss or anything... How to put it?"
((No. Charlotte and Drew. They are... rambunctious. But I was overpaid! *HECK YEAH*))

Victoria looked up from her novel to look at the two conversing a few tables to her right. She was surprised that the librarian wasn't telling either to quiet down. It wasn't bothering Victoria, in fact, she had been quite lost within the pages of the book. But from what she knew about libraries, and the many she had visited, librarians tended to be very anal about silence. Hmm. Interesting. And with that she turned back to the story. (( DA VODKA!! ))

'Oh my god, he's so cute in a puppy dog sort of way!', Aiesha thought with a grin. "I dunno. I never met a butler before, but I used to watch Batman, the animated series. And Alfred was a butler. I don't think you do the same things he did, though." She clapped her hands together and sat up straight as an idea popped into her head. "I've got it! You're our leader!" She looked quite proud of herself.
((Honest to god reaction there...))

Only when heard a loud clap and something shouted about a leader did Thomas look up from his book. He carefully marked his page before poking his head around the shelves, and putting a finger to his lips. "Shhhh!"

Jacques went red. "Leader?" he hissed to avoid incurring the librarian's wrath. "Alfred? I- I don't think that's..." But he couldn't find anything else to compare it with, so he just lapsed into silence. "Um."

"Don't like Batman?" Aiesha asked quietly, though she didn't expect an answer. "It's not a bad thing. Alfred's pretty kick-ass. Ya know?"
((Fail.))

"No, actually. I haven't had the opputunity to watch much of it. I'm sure it is as you say, but... I've always been more of a..." reality show "History Channel sort of person."

"Oh." Aiesha replied simply. She thought about that for a moment. "The History Channel's alright, I s'pose. I don't watch it much myself." She tried to remember the last time she had watched it. "Hmmm..."
